Dallas Animal Services Fund
DCAP maintains a fund specifically to benefit the homeless animals at Dallas Animal Services & Adoption Center, as well as the DAS PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center. Money from this fund is used for items requested by the shelter staff but not in the City's budget. Examples of past gifts from this fund include shade canopies for the outdoor exercise areas, toys and rawhides, staff training, extra medical care, enrichment items, bedding, promotional products, and much more.

Pets For Life
In difficult economic times, families can have trouble providing for the health and welfare of pets. With two-thirds of American families having pets and nearly one in every six Americans living at or below poverty level, itís more important than ever to reach out to those in need with workable answers. The Pets For Life Community Outreach program does just that. Donations to PFL will be used to provide pet food, supplies and veterinary care for pets of low-income Dallas residents.

General Fund Donation
Contributions to our general fund go directly toward administration of our programs. General Fund donations help cover the overhead costs for administration and promotion of our educational campaigns, spay/neuter programs, fundraising events, and more.

Spay Day
Twice a month, DCAP holds Spay Day events at Dallas Animal Services. We offer 65-80 low or no cost, spay/neuter surgeries for pet owners who need financial help. Just $60 can spay or neuter one needy pet and prevent the birth of hundreds of unwanted animals.

The Lucy Fund
The Lucy Fund was established to provide financial assistance for emergency veterinary care to people who, due to lack of funds, would be forced to surrender their pets to a municipal shelter. DCAP contracts with low-cost vets to provide the necessary services, keeping more pets in their homes and out of shelters.

Show Your Soft Side
A national campaign is fighting animal cruelty by proving that itís not tough or manly to hurt a dog or cat. Show Your Soft Side features celebrities and athletes like Texas Rangers Legend Pudge Rodriguez showing that even tough guys have a soft spot for animals. Your donation will help us grow this campaign in Dallas by providing funding for printing and reproduction. Sponsorships are available as well. Contact donate@dallasanimals.org for more information.
